Why do I get so nervous around funny people?

If I find someone is funny, suddenly I get so insecure and I nervous and I want to be funny back, but I fear that I am may be unfunny to them and that they won’t like me as much as I like them and I fear ruining things. Why do I feel so nervous and insecure around people that I like?

Don’t worry, you’re a woman – you don’t have to be funny. Just giggle a lot, wear clothes which flatter your cleavage and you’ll be fine.
